[RESOLVED] Coastline waves orientation V4 HF1

Postby Simu67 » Sun Jul 16, 2017 10:30 pm

Hi,

I have P3d V4 HF1 and the coastline waves are vertical oriented. Did a repair for install client.msi, but no luck.

What can I do ?

I see you have ORBX scenery, as I do and that is the cause of it. They are aware of it. There is a posting of it. It did go away once when the new Client from P3DV4 was reloaded but new scenery from ORBX are causing the FTX central to put it back, again. I have to not fly near the ocean and I can't see from my house.
Thanks

I have all of the ORBX stuff that has been released for v4 so far, and my waves are just fine. Just flew a few minutes ago and confirmed all is well...

Hi B1bmsgt,

Thank you for this precision. Did you update the ORBX regions ? I have this ennuyous bug since i did (installed AI_Ships too at same moment).

I saw that in Effects\texture, there is a texture name LR_Orbx_bow_wave_reversed.bmp, but dont(find the effect that is invoking it.

Hello Simu67

Thank you for the feedback

----------------------------------------------

For anyone else reading this you can force an Orbx Library update by following the 2 steps below

1) Delete the version text file located in Prepar3D v4 > ORBX > User Documents > Versions

It will look like this FTX_AA_ORBXLIBS.TXT

2) Then Launch the FTX Central control panel, this action will prompt you to reinstall\update Orbxlibs, Click Update (Bottom left corner)
