Edit the rollrate behavior of an Aerobatic plane

Hello Folks

Is there any way in P3D to create an realistic roll and stop behavior for an Aerobatic Plane, eg. that it stops rolling immediately when you move the stick back to the neutral position, and also allow roll rates of 400° per sec. ?

Just like in the Video below.

Yes, you have to go into the SDK and look how to change the flight characteristics of an aircraft.

Yeah but i don't find any Information in the .air file section in the SDK, what those values are?

Thats why i ask here :).

You did not mention you looked into the .air files.



For the increased roll rate you need to experiment with:



Elevator effectiveness scaling

Aileron effectiveness scaling

Rudder effectiveness scaling



which will make the control surfaces more effective and can also create better controllability.



For the general stability you need to change variables in the first section of the file, but seriously, you will have to understand the math behind it to really purposefully increase the stability without any side effects.

BTW, you can also try the variables in the aircraft.cfg file, maybe they are enough for what you want to do.
