Major stutters in P3D crossing Prime Meridian

Postby Ray Proudfoot » Thu May 18, 2017 8:30 am

I'm running P3D v3.4. During recent testing to finalise my ideal scenery settings I setup a test based at London City airport - EGLC, Rwy 28.

I slewed the aircraft up to 1500ft and changed the heading to 250-260 so it was pointing towards EGLL just visible in the distance. I then increased the speed of the aircraft to 240kts.

Shortly before reaching the building at Canary Wharf I noticed some quite severe stutters. These lasted 2-3 seconds and never appeared again even as I approached EGLL (Aerosoft Heathrow Xtended) with 150 Ai aircraft loaded.

I repeated this test many times and each time the stutters happened at exactly the same point. Then the penny dropped. These stutters were happening as the aircraft crossed over the Prime Meridian. Now this is really odd because I can remember the same problem with Flight Sim 98 and subsequent releases by Microsoft.

It looks like the same basic problem is still there. Are you aware of this and will it still occur with v4?

40 reads but no response from LM. Disappointing.
