Content requires Prepar3D v3 to be installed with Error 0x80070643

Post by FSauda »

I'm unable to install P3D v3 on Windows 10 either via Setup or Windows installer. During installation process I get the errors "Content requires Prepar3D v3 to be installed", "Content and Scenery were not installed" and the error code 0x80070643. All my install attempts were as administrator. Suggestions concerning Net Framework fix haven't worked. It seems to me that both Content and Scenery installers are not working and downloading again P3D v3 hasn't worked too. My OS is in English. I was careful to delete all P3D folders after uninstalling it through Program and Features. I have run out of ideas to solve this issue of mine. I was told by Prepar3D team that personal support via e-mail is not provided and that I should try to find a solution in this Forum. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Have you both fully extracted the setup files from the zip before trying to run setup.exe?

I'm using WinRar to decompress Prepar3D v3 Folder, and in one occasion I found in P3D v3 WinRar folder, after right clicking on it, the option to unblock files in its properties. Unblocking WinRar folder before decompressing it was of no use too.
