I am using Windows IE-11 and don't understand why your web pages take so long to load. :?

Does anybody have an idee why?

Same here.

Chrome 31 on Windows 8.1

I do not believe Lockheed Martin has no money to buy more servers.

This is the new server ;)

It will simply be a lot of new traffic today and this week for sure as new users and old users are updating and downloading the new v2

I'm surprised nobody though of that already.

Hey all,

We are experiencing a heavier than usual volume, it is getting faster that our web team has seen. We'll continue to work to optimize it. Thanks for your patience!

Just in the last 2 days for me the P3D website, particularly the forums, load much slower than before. I had the pages not load at all in the 3 or so minutes I waited. I did check my ISP speed and its fine; other pages (except Avsim) load pretty much instantly for me.

Just an FYI

WOW, this reminds me of the "Old Dial-up" days. Very, very slow.

If your running FireFox and have the firebug extension, you can see the problems.

I am not running Firefox and I can't see the problem.

BTW. The "Show new topics since your last visit" has returned :D

This is the new server ;)

....

This is a new server, as in brand new, top of the line?

Or an old 386 computer in a new role as a server. :D

I just did a search "mingle forum" slow.

I don't really know but it seems that "Mingle Forum", a part of wordpress.org, occasionally has speed problems.

That, added to the surely expected activity regarding Prepar3d V2, was a train wreck waiting to happen.

After 30 minutes I was able to post this message which I sent by email first:

Dear Prepar3d,

I just purchased Prepar3d V2. Excited about your new product I tried to download the 10 Gig. Zip file…..

Unfortunately the website from a company who can make the worlds most advanced fighters seems to host their website on a 1985’s XT computer. It is completely unreachable!

No, it is not my internet connection. I have a fiberglass 50 Mbit connection and I did several speedtests. Nothing wrong here in the Netherlands.

Can you please sent me a decent download link?

As an advice it is maybe a good idea to host your files here at a Dutch company named i3d. They are specialised in hosting lots and lots of data even for EA.

Then I got an automatic reply:

Hello,

Thank you for your message. We do not provide email technical support for Prepar3D®, but help is still available!

We’ve taken the most common questions we receive and created a Frequently Asked Questions list, accessible here:

A member of our technical team will respond to your forum posting as soon as possible. We’re privileged to have you with us – thanks for being part of the Prepar3D community.

Sincerely,

The Prepar3D Team

The first line excited me: We do not provide email technical support for Prepar3D®, but help is still available!

That's a very good idea when your website is down. Come on Prepar3D, be a bit more professional......

Anyway, thanks for those beautiful flightsims.

All the best,

Arthur
