which version of P3D can work with my computer

Post by Zaki »

Good morning

I am a First Officer on Beech1900d and i am going to start my Type Rating on ATR72.

I would like to buy a P3D and ATR 72 by CARENADO (which work only with P3D v4.4 or higher).

I would like to know if my computer's performances are sufficient for P3D V4 or higher:

- Processor I5-6600k CPU @ 3.50 GHz 3.50GHz
- RAM 8GB
- Operating system 64bit
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
- Driver version 531.79
- 1920*1080, 60Hz

looking forward for your answer

Best regards

The various system requirements are here:

As you will see, your system will run P3D v. 4 - but only just, the system is barely over the minuimum requirements for v. 4, so do not expect a stellar performance, even without add-ons like the aircraft you're contemplating.

Unfortunately that's a really basic set of computer specs and will be very unlikely to give statisfactory performance, no matter what version of P3D is installed.

As a comparison I run both P3D v4.5 & v5.3 on a Ryzen 5800X with the CPU base clocked to 4.7 GHz with SMP off.
The is also 32 GB of ram and a 3080Ti GFX card with 12 GB of ram and a 30 Hz capable monitor.

With the above specs I can run both 4.5 & 5.3 versions of P3D @ 30 fps via vsync @ 30 Hz for almost all flying senarios.

Not what you wnated to hear no doubt.

Cheers
