Also, what i forgot to say in my post 3 posts above.

You can see in that pic the GPU even down clocked to whats usual in idle mode. And that wasnt really a very undemanding situation. With the fog, Clouds on EA Ultimate, SSAAx2 in WQHD (2.5k), the PMDG 747, other settings like reflections set to high and sun effects playing around at that time (cant be seen well in the pic) there surely would be no reason for the gpu to downclock that low.... Something is fishy. But only with P3D. And only after the update. MSFS, games etc run without problems.
I made flights all day before the update. Long flights too, like 10h in the 747/8.

Driver version is 496.76

same GPU utilization, normally at 60-70% at first, but as time goes by, it decrease to 30% or less, then freeze, but vram seems normal.

Same issue that seems a bit intermittent, today was the worst experience for stutters on a flight from ESGG to EHAM in the pmdg 747, heavy stutters on rotation to where the sim would freeze momentarily, occurred again mid flight.

No OC done on my system, all stock speeds.

@ point5zero ,

I did two test departures out of ESGG.
One with the default F-35B and one with PMDG747
No stutters

P3Dv5.3
i9 9900K
No OC
GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11GB
32GB DDR4 memory
WIN11

Yeah I'm going to test the same route again and see if it differs from my first leg, it seems sometimes it's great in 5.3, other times the stutters are pretty bad.

Been having heavy stutters and FPS drops on a regular basis. First I thought it was down to traffic setting, as mentioned in another thread.
It started to look good with traffic turned off, but all of a sudden during the flights my frames drop. Yesterday it happend when landing as soon as I was on runway, heavy stutters and dropped from approx. 32 to 20 FPS.

Then today I set up my flight at LFSB. My FSlabs parked at stand 4, night envirnoment, very smooth 36-42 FPS.
I loaded my A320 using GSX, which ran smooth and moved away from PC for about 15 minutes to grab some food.
When I returned I noticed that my FPS dropped to 18 FPS and heavy stuttering, and I hadn't even moved yet.

Out of my last 15 flights or so using 5.3, I have maybe had one flight which wen't really good all the way through.
The others have all had hickups on the way with FPS drops and stutters in different phases of the flight, even when just sitting on the ground like today.

Also seem to suffer from freezes on regular basis, anything between 15 seconds to never ending, resulting in forcing me to close P3D.

Ive swapped client back to 5.2 and hope to enjoy my flying again.

@ ice75 ,

While on stand 4 was the FSLabs cold and dark?
"I loaded my A320 using GSX, which ran smooth and moved away from PC for about 15 minutes to grab some food."
Was this also cold and dark?
Is LFSB payware ?

I may do a test see what happens.

My Default Panel State is "On GPU", so to answer your question it was not cold and dark at any point.
The state was on GPU, engines off, during pre-flight phase.

LFSB Scenery is from JustSim.

@ ice75 ,

Ok,

I do not have LFSB Scenery from JustSim and I am not using GSX now.

I lock my FPS at 29.

I will do a test with what I have and see if it has problems.

Pretty sure that all those test flights will always be successful without stutters.
I could never force it like that so far.

Do an hour preflight, and full usage of everything there is, like we did pre update without problems (*), and the situation will be 50%/50% chance for these gpu hangs/stutter to appear or not, during the 2h flight. Like for many here.

These things could never really be tested that easy by starting on a runway and leave. Many problems can be troubleshooted that way, sure. But not these.

(*)) with "without problems" i mean without this particualr problem. Of course we all have some problem here and there, or low fps, in harsh weather, on a heavy airport or something. This is NOT this kind of stutter. I would call it frequent freezing rather. Because flying is not really possible like this, even the counter shows 30 fps.

@ ice75 ,

P3Dv5.3 default LFSB gate 4
FSL Delta A320
FPS 28.9 (gate hold 27 minutes ) then start taxi (FPS 28.8) to check my Thrustmaster TCA FSUIPC Tiller and other controls were ok.

VRAM 2.8 (gate) then 3.1 (taxi) .

No problems.

@ Bozo92 ,

If you had read the previous posts you would have noticed I was testing a situation that Ice75 had mentioned in this P3D user to user forum.

Please just post your own tests and your own results for LM Staff and others in this user to user forum topic to review.

LM reads the posts and I am sure they appreciate the feedback form all users.

Currently I am waiting in this topic to see if Meowsa (the OP) has an update from my previous posts with him.

BTW, I did not see your system specs, screenshots or a video in this topic.

Now as far as my “near default P3D runs smoothly” goes that is why I am testing.
I want to verify if my PC setup and software has the same problem(s) or not.

We are investigating this issue. Any additional details will help us find the root cause of the problem including departure location, add-ons installed, aircraft used, and settings. There is another post on this topic so to reduce confusion I'm locking this one and would ask that everyone please uses the following post for this issue: https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopi ... 5&t=143918
