Start-up Scenerios lost

Post by updraft »

Hi

I have created various start situations (*.fxml) which are stored in \Documents\Prepar3D v4 Files.
These files cannot be loaded anymore, they are not showing in the Load menue.

Same with newly created situations: they are visible under the Save menue but don't show under Load and they are not saved as *.fxml files in the Documents\Prepar3D v4 Files anymore.

Something changed lately?
How to get these situations back?

Ernst

Do a screenshot of the contents of your
\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Files folder.

Do you have "Show only Favorites" selected?

Can you see default P3D saved flights like Missing Coworker?

Hi Martyson

Thank you for responding so quickly!

re screenshot of \Documents\Prepar3D v4 Files folder:
Image
I don't know how to insert a screenshot.
Copied one into the above brackets, maybe it will show...
Have about 15 situations in that folder plus 3 new ones showing in the Save menue.

None of them is selectable by the menue and the new saved ones I can't find by a search on the C: drive and within P3Dv4 folder and they also don't show in the \Documents\Prepar3D v4 Files folder.

re Do you have "Show only Favorites" selected? = No

re Can you see default P3D saved flights like Missing Coworker? = Yes, just these themes.

Thanks in advanbce for your further help and perhaps instructions how to insert jgps.

Hi Vaughan,

That's a link to another thread, not how to upload screen shots :)

Ernst,

I previously copied and pasted the incorrect link (from my notes) on how to post a screenshot.
Sorry about that.

As mentioned, this is the correct link:

Hi

Thanks for all the helping actions!

Hope this is working with Dropbox:

Those recently saved new scenarios are not appearing and cannot be found on any drive.

Obviously Dropbox is not working for this purpose.

Since I don't know any such image hosting platform, would you please recommend me a preferred one (w/o connection to any social media platform)?

Ernst,

I cannot read the Names of your Saved Flights files.
I need to see how the names are composed.

Need to Zoom in a little bit on the screenshot.

Ok,

Are you using SimStarter?

Start P3D with the default aircraft at any airport.

Save the flight with the name Atest.

Exit P3D.

Reboot your PC.

Verify the saved flight Atest is in your documents folder.

Start P3D and see if Atest is listed in your LOAD saved flights screen.

In addition to my previous post:

Your Previous Flight is dated 10.6.19 ?

Some saved flights are from 2018

There are no Wx (weather) files listed ?

Are you copying files on you PC from backups or previous P3D setups (e.g., old folders) ?
