CombatAirPatrol entity losing altitude

Post by vskivanov »

Hi all, I'm new here, so I'm sorry if this question has already been answered. Tried the search, but didn't found a solution to this.
I got stuck on some very simple task. I'm assigning a CombatAirPatrol to an object, adding a refference to it, adding an AIActivationAction, activating the behaviour, adding a timer trigger and everything looks relatively good. However if I assign the behaviour to an airplane it circles around until slowly hits the ground. If it's a helicopter it circles at about 200 feet AGL. Yes, I set the AIType respectively. Tried setting all kind of altitudes - world position, AssignedAltitude within AIType settings, CirclingAltitude. And it ignores the PatrolRadiusFeet setting - for the test I set it for 500 meters, but the chopper flew at about 2 miles distance from object.
I'm just out of ideas. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanx!

Hello,

Are you only seeing this with CombatAirPatrol or are other behaviors exhibiting similar behavior as well?

Thanx Rob!
Looks like it's just the CombatAirPatrol. Tried the Pursue and the object gains and loses alt as needed.
