Low FPS when in cockpit

Post by bryanhyper »

Hello, this problem has been occurring for a while now for me but it has gotten to the point where i really can't take it no more. Whenever i switch to the cockpit, specifically looking out the window, i get really low/decrease FPS. But when i switch to any other view, outside, wing view, etc i get 40-50 FPS. In the cockpit ONLY WHEN LOOKING OUT THE WINDOW, i get like 10-20 FPS. I have a really good computer, 1080ti. My affinity mask is set to 116. This problem is occurring with every aircraft, I have the latest version of P3D.

This is really annoying and i hope someone could help me with this

I suggest you go here:

https://www.prepar3d.com/SDKv4/prepar3d ... ation.html

and modify your Prepar3d.cfg as needed.

Regarding your AffinityMask, there are only 2 values you should use. Use 84 if Hyperthreading is on, and 14 if it is off. Hyperthreading is toggled in the BIOS of your motherboard, and it seems that the collective opinions are that it should be turned off, and hence the AffinityMask value set to 14.

It's unfortunately the same thing, i used all the settings that were recommended, turned Hyper threading off and on, nothing.

Any other ideas?

Then we'll need to see you Prepar3D.cfg file.

Just to verify: Are you using P3Dv4.5 HF1 now ?

Is your 120hz monitor replacing a 60hz monitor?

Did you have this problem when you first installed P3D?

Do you only have one monitor ?

Do you have a home built PC or user upgraded (hardware) PC?

My thought is that you have problems with your user upgraded PC.
