Max altitude/speed in Prepar3D v4

Post by aravil »

I would like to know, what is the highest altitude/highest speed that is achievable in Prepar3D?
I wonder if sub-orbital flights or simulating space shuttle start/landing is technically possible without using addons.

At the heart of any flight simulation platform is a flight dynamics engine (FDE) which provides the aerodynamics of flight. Remove the density of the air and the FDE will not function.

I believe the altitude limit is around 100 million feet. This is certainly high enough to support orbital dynamics. However, you would have to create a custom flight/physics engine to achieve shuttle behavior.
