3.4.18 Extreme Performance drop with tfdi 717

Post by brunnerdzn »

Hi,
decided it was a good time to reinstall my P3d client after having some issues with the tfdi 717, hence some people are reporting they have no trouble whatsoever with that plane So I thought it might be something on my end. After uninstalling and updating the client, I imediatly noticed a severe fps drop. From 50fps to around 5fps. I cleared the shader cache and tried again: Same result. So I decided to wipe my p3d drive and go for a fresh 3.4.18 install. Now: My fps are down to around 20 max. With planes I used to get 40-50fps with. My cpu is nearly idling at 30%. Frame rate is set to unlimited. Fortunately I have a back up for the installer before 3.4.18. I will try and install that again. I have no Idea whats happening.
Followed Poppets guide for uninstalling.
Specs:
i7 4790K @ 4.4ghz
gtx 650ti boost 2gb edition superclocked
8gb 1600Mhz ddr3 ram
Seagate Barracuda 1tb for p3d
Windows 10 64bit on samsung pro ssd 120gb

Cheers

Have rolled back to 3.4.9, Frame rate is normal again. Not sure what to make of it.

How weird is that, my P3D has been running the best its ever been for years, I literally finally got it tunning 25fps at heathrow with no blurries or stuttering....

then...

i purchase the tfdi 717, i had massive problems, sticking, stuttering etc, so decided like you to update to the latest hotfix 2 now my frames are 5ps - 12fps, when I roll back everything is perfect again. To be honest I am sick to death of this, just when I get it all running well, update to the latest hotfix...bang ..so my P3D is literally unplayable until this is sorted

Lockheed please come in on this and sort this out

thank you

if you have not noticed, if you went to their forums (717) you would realize that other users have issues and they are plane related. There are P3D issues too since the hotfix, but that is a separate issue. So, take the right issues to the right forums.

No thats not correct ELMUCKI.... the 717 i sorted, I did goto their forums, the problem was the 717 was crashing and sticking P3D, they then updated their plane which fixed that problem... I have now reset everything, cleaned P3D off my drive, in fact I formatted it, installed everything back on such as P3D with latest hotfix, ASN, Orbx etc.... and I am getting 5FPS in a non scencery area....... so here we are ELMUCKI, I am taking this issue to this forum as your hotfix has broken what was a solid P3D until then.... my Prepar3d is unplayable at the moment....... everytime there is an update something like this happens

good day
