Prepar3d crash after about an hour

Post by bonna007 »

Hi,

I am writing on behalf of the school where we have an installation of prepar3d.

The PC has 16GB ram, Ndivia geforce graphic card, and its connected with EMULTEC G1000 Pfd/MFD. A SAITEK controller, and SPAD for gear and switches completes the installation.

The sim works fine until about an hour or 1 hour 15 minutes, then it crashes, giving a Prepar3d.exe error. I have tested this several times, and after the first crash, unless you switch off completely the PC (not reload without turning off), this will then start to crash every 10 minutes. It actually keeps crashing continuosly after not more than 10 minutes unless you switch off completely and restart.

After that, again, the process repeats itself, it will crash after around 1 hour. So for me, this seems to be something of an memory, hardware limitation or stack overflow problem.

Any help ??

Thanks!
Al

I've got v3.4 and having the same problem. Its not OOM. Its the one where Windows comes up with a label saying something went wrong and they're trying to solve the problem. My experience is they never do.

It's most disappointing as I'm having to limit my flights to about an hour when I might just get a landing in. As I fly to look at the scenery etc., as well as learn, that's very limiting.

event viewer logs would be helpful and other addons which may be used...
