Middle East IFR Scenery

I am creating photo scenery for the Middle East for flight above medium altitudes, although low flight over desert looks good also. The imagery source is used in Military Simulators. I will have a licence to sell the scenery for Prepar3d.

Here is a video over mostly Iraq with a little Kuwait, overflight into Saudi Arabia and maybe Iran.

The sim platform in the video is Prepar3d v3.1

Here are a few screenshots. Previously I hand drew water masks over major waterways and lakes so as to show on the VRS TacPack Radar, but with the later imagery I have decided to leave it natural look and placed the masks only over the deeper ocean as shown below.

I have been trying different lighting settings in v3.2 and compile a series of screenshots. Also my first night lighting viewed with the VRS NVG system.

I have finally got night lighting looking decent. It was not easy with the lower resolution imagery.

These are NE of Baghdad and maybe near or over the Iranian border.






I have spent weeks of spare time on Baghdad. Not as good as I would like but too bright with the lights and the NVG is too bright so I have had to settle for a compromise.

I have finally completed the night lighting. I may add a few effects such as flam/smoke at the refineries.

I set up another Aerosoft F16 as a Tanker via the VRS TPM and carried out a little formation flight by inserting the "Tanker" via the inflight VRS AI option..

Here is a video of a formation with an F16 inserted as a Tanker via the VRS AI Tanker option in a 60nm race track pattern. I lost the plot on the turn whilst switching views and concentrating on the video recording instead of the turn,
