P3D5 Unabel to Install due to file corruptions

Post by tnst05 »

Hello together
I m trying to install P3D V5 again after I reset my PC and Windows.
So iI went to the P3d Installation site downloaded the zip file and continued to Extract it via Windows Explorer .
In the middle of the xtracting folder i got errors that sime files (cab4.cont) or some others were not right downloaded or corrupted.
I though okay maybe its because I dowloaded it with a non featured Browser and i deleted everything with p3d and dowloaded it with some other browsers opera internet explorer firefox and so on. But evertime the same result Which was really frustating because evrytime dowloading P3d does take at least 20 Minutes and it did not work. I searched in the folder for solutions but i couldnt find anything which helped me and i really want to Go again with p3d I really hope for any solutions here
thanks in advanced

@ tnst05 ,

Tim,

After downloading the ZIP file did you verify its Checksum?

In complement to Martyson answer you can find WinMD5 here :
www.WinMD5.com
In your download page, you will find the checksum at the same line of the download file.
Using WinMD5, it needs some minutes for having the result when the file is too big.
But, if the result dont matched, you can download each file individualy by clicking on
+ Individual Component Downloads (click to expand) which is below your dowload file.
Hope that will help you.

http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic ... 3&t=126465

1) Downloading Prepar3D (Download Manager)

You should download the full product which is one big ZIP file.
Verify the Checksum on that ZIP file.
The checksum should match the one in your download Account.
Is it correct?

Do not UnZip it if it is bad.
