Getting stuck in the sky

Has anyone else experienced an issue with the F22 model in v3.4 where they get stuck in the sky? I've been able to recreate it several times: I climb to around 60,000 feet and then try to enter a spin by cutting the throttle, ruddering left, rolling left, pulling back, and then slowly rolling my joystick around. The airplane goes into an extreme spin and the altitude fluctuates up and down within 2,000 feet, never going lower. There's no way to recover from it short of changing to another plane mid-scenario (other planes, like the F35, continue spinning, but lose altitude normally, and recovery is possible by nosing down). Very weird.
