Saving Display Settings

Post by dafyddp3d »

When saving Display settings it would be useful to have a list of previously saved config files. At present, if a named config file is loaded then tweaked a bit, the config name changes (as expected) to "Custom". Because of this the save function requires the user to remember the name of the file if an overwrite is required, and file names can be fairly long!
A drop down list would make life a little easier when playing with the graphics settings etc. Just a thought.

it is there... the profiles section under Display functions just as that.... it shows a drop down list of previously saved states..
Any tweaks can be updated, although an UPDATE profile button would be cool as well..... is that what you meant?

The profiles drop down does give a list of the saved profiles, but choosing one would overwrite any changes! They can't be copied!
To use the list one would have to remember and re-type the profile name into the "Save Settings" dialog box. It would be nice to be able to choose from a list from within the "Save Settings" dialog box, and update the profile of choice with any changes.

Great idea. Or at least offer a "populate with current" option like the LOAD feature has. Maybe on next update?
Thanks!
