Performance dependent on Single thread

I know that Prepar3D still has the main thread running on a single core which limits performance. Will this change in V5.
I am planning on building a new system and I want to select a CPU based on what will be most suitable for P3D V5. It things stay the same I believe the main thread will be the limiting factor but if V5 is different in this regard number of cores might be more important. Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Hello, my prepar 3D turn on 4 threads, it depends of the AffinityMask value, forme it's 132095

I think the hardware industry will give the way for the software industry. So at the moment it looks like AMD has initiated the way to much more cores than ever before and Intel now also goes this way. Also clock rate went up recently. I have an 8 core cpu and with Affinitymask 11111111 = 255 it uses all cores, but core 0 the most (P3D4.4).

You use a strange affinitymask value for 18 core cpu. Do you have this rather unknown cpu i9-9980XE? If so, I'd use all cores not only 11, with an affinitymask of 262143. I have no problems using all cores for P3D4, can still run other programs next to it.
