Hey there,

I recently downloaded P3D v5.
Ever since, I have huge struggle with it.
The sim ran quiet ok, the first 14 min. I have not installed any addons, simply flew around and experienced the new texture improvements.

Now to the prob:
After a G-Card failure I restarted my computer, and since that, when I try to go to the outside view, the sim crashes every single time! If I stay in the cockpit, it runs for about 4-5 mins, than it crashes again.

My PC setup is:
Motherboard: Aorus x570 Pro
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 64gb (3200Mhz)
G-Card: Sapphire Nitro RX5700 XT special edition
System is Win 10 (updated today (18.06.2020)
The version of P3D v5 is the 5.0.24.3487
The G-Card software version is the 20.5.1

There was one time where I got a failure report. The massage was:

This device (AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT) stopped working for the following reason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_RESET. Do you want to exit Prepar3D®? Click YES to exit, No to disable rendering to this device, or Cancel to keep using this device (Prepar3D may crash)

Now I tried to solve the prob. With YouTube vids, but the problem remains the same! Sim crashes when I try to change the view, and sometimes the whole computer has to be reset….

would be nice if anyone could help me out. I am highly frustrated, P3D wont refund me the thing so I need to get it running :/.

Thanks in advance
MW

There are plenty of threads dealing with this topic already.

Part of the issue are problems with DX12, some of these problems should be solved by updating to Windows 10 v. 2004, with more fixes to follow when Microsoft updates this.

Another, very important, part is the AMD drivers. AMD has acknowledged this and is working on driver updates.

Ok thank you for the answer. Windows is already updated, so waiting seams to be the answer :/ sad but true :/
