Time for an upgrade. But which components?

Post by joshuawe »

Hey everyone,

I finally upgraded from FSX to p3d and would like to upgrade my old computer components:

I5 4670 3.4Ghz
Asus H81M-A LGA1150
Corsair 2x4GB 1600MHz DDR3
GTX 650 1GB GDDR5

I don't want to do unnecessary upgrades if I don't have to but I would like to spend some money if upgrades are needed for a smoother flight. What is the best option?

Thank you!!

In your case, I would definitively first go for an upgrade of the graphics card, maybe a 1050(Ti)? Then you might consider replacing the RAM with 2x8GB modules. All the rest including a CPU upgrade would result in a complete replacement of GPU, CPU, mainboard and RAM and might be beyond your budget.
