Hi L-M

I'm attempting to re-install P3D after some problems with add-ons, but I'm getting a 1317 error as the program tries to create the C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3d\Simobjects folder. I am running the installer as 'admin'.

Do know what could be wrong?

cheers

Martin

Hello Martin,

Is this a Windows Error? Like Error 1317 An error occurred while attempting to create the directory Drive Name:\Folder Name Running Windows-7 or XP? On what drive do you execute the re-install? Is your Windows OS up to date? Is Microsoft .Net Framework installed?

Hi Valar,

I would suggest deleting your entire Prepar3D folder before attempting another install. It is likely you had some objects in your SimObject folder that were not removed during the uninstall, since our uninstaller does not remove any user created files. That could trigger a folder creation error.

Hi guys

Thanks! I deleted the folder and the problem went away. Should have thought of it myself...
