Hi,

I have a I5 cuad core laptop with GEforce GT420m 1 gb and 6 gb of ram. I have played with the display configuration however I can not have more than 19 fps. I have used this CPU to play a lot of games an I have any problems until now. So, I would like to ask you if you can give me some ideas of how can I improve the FPS

Cheers

a Geforce 420 is a card for 2D office applications, not more. So all the work must be done by the CPU, and I'm very astonished you get 19fps at all.

If the second digit of the grafics chip is not 6 minimum, you have no real 3D carf.

Actually the 420m is a mid range card wich supports d3d11/cuda/PhysX etc. I'm not sure how much memory it has as the online specs didn't say. I would suggest that you ensure the following:

- Bathymetry is off

- Reflection setting are fairly low

- Global texture resolution is at or below 1024. Probably 512 would be good. (1024 was the max for fsx.)

- Keep your LOD radius below 3.5. (4.5 was the max in FSX)

- Don't max out the autogen slider (autogen is one of the bigger perf hogs)

Thanks,

Beau
