Black leading edge over the wing for PMDG NGXu

Postby hkhoanguyen » Thu Nov 14, 2019 10:15 am

Hi,

Flying the PMDG NGXu, we have a black leading edge over the wing only at night, PMDG said that there is something about PBR needed to be fix on LM side, could you please confirm this ?

Is there any workaround for this ? if possible ?

Thanks in adavanced

Hello,

A texture was updated in version 4.4 that is used for PBR aircraft in some cases. If you only applied client updates this could be the cause of the problem you are seeing. Updating content to the latest version should fix this issue.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply,

However, I didn't update just client, when the hot fix is out, I reinstalled everything from scratch, so that means I'm up to date now, and again this PBR just happens at night.

I tried to restore shaders to default ones, and no reshade was used also, but the leading edges still black at night

Are you seeing this on the default PMDG livery?
If so, which PMDG aircraft -800 / -900 / winglets etc?
Default airport?
Time of day?
I will have a look at the same one on my setup/

Yeah the same, black leading edge and engine, but only at night.

Anyone from LM team, can confirm whether this is the problem on LM side or PMDG ?

Thanks

Did they say they were working (providing information) directly with LM?

Forgive me for butting in here.

I do not know much about PBR and am not sure I care, but: if - IF - this PBR thingy works OK for some add-ons and not for PMDG, then it is and remains a PMDG problem, no matter what they say.

Just a bent euro-cent's worth of opinionated opinion and simple logic from a tech support guy.

Maybe ask in the PMDG forum or submit a PMDG support ticket ?
