F22 COMM RADIO ISSUE

Post by MHM49 »

I run version 3.3

While flying the F22-Raptor (default), In several instances - I am unable to tune my COMM1 radio to the specific frequency that I need. I have used both the Instrument Panel numberpad - and have even tried to use the old "C +" technique that's been around forever.... the Numbers to the right of decimal point simply will not settle on my desired frequency.

Anyone else have this problem?
Anyone know a fix?

Thanks -

Thanks for replying... hope you can help... this has happened before at other airports.

But last night I was unable to depart KDFW because I could not tune COMM1 to 124.15
Had to cancel the flight. Very frustrating.

KDFW TOWER = 124.15
I could tune 124.14
Next tunable frequency is 124.165

I just verified this even at the default airport.... F-22 simply will not tune 124.15

And as I said - I've had this happen before... not necessarily at KDFW... and not just that frequency. But that one's fresh on my mind!

I look forward to hearing your thoughts....

I just tested "KDFW TOWER = 124.15"

If you switch to default e.g. Baron.
Tune 124.15.
Switch to F22
check the displayed COM freq it will be 124.15.

So, you would need a default radio to tune some freqs. as far as I can tell.

INTERESTING THOUGHT...

2 things...

1> The F-22 is also default, as you may already know.
2> I can't imagine switching aircraft if I was coming in for a landing?

Is it a "bug" in the F-22?

JUST CHECKED.... by the way.

You are correct. I CAN tune 124.15 on other aircraft.
Just not the F-22

I do not fly the
"IRIS Airforce Series Raptor Driver for FSX V1.0 by IRIS Flight Simulation Software
// Copyright © IRIS Flight Simulation Software 2013 - All Rights Reserved
// www.irissimulations.com.au"

except for a few tests.

I did check the VRS FS 18E (my installed payware) and all is ok with COM 124.15

I have the same problem
Nav 108.15 becomes 108.14
but switching to Baron and then back again the Nav reads 108.15

Strange!
