I'm battling to select (find) the best anti-aliasing settings in P3Dv4. No matter what I select (MSAA or SSAA), I get shimmering sim objects when viewed from a distance (e.g. Power line structures, airport buildings, etc.). From what I understand, this is related to 'transparency' anti aliasing sampling. I have tried SSAA with no nVidia Inpector settings (i.e. default prepar3d nVidia settings) and I have tried MSAA with and without nVidia inspector transparency SGSS (sparse grid super sampling). Whichever settings I use produce similar results and don't get rid of the shimmering objects in the distance. I have a powerful GTX 1080 GPU and Kabylake CPU with latest drivers which can handle any setting (well almost). I never had this problem with FSX. Does anyone have this issue and/or know how to solve it.
