Restore deleted Stock CH-53 helo in P3d V3.4

Post by Butch »

I accidentally deleted my stock CH-53 in P3D V3.4 and want to restore it. How can I get it back in P3d V3.4?
It was overwritten by another helo with same name. Will I have to reinstall part of P3D again?

Thanks.

Hi Butch,

Yes, you will need to reinstall the default content. To do this go to Add or Remove Programs and remove Prepar3D v3 Content. Since the default vehicle's files were modified they may not be completely removed after this. If this is the case you will need to manually delete them in the SimObjects folder in your Prepar3D install location. Then run the Install_Content.msi which ships with our installer.

Would using install_Client.msi and then select Repair do the job?

No... you have to reinstall the content, not the client.

Understand, but will this overwrite any settings that I previously had? Will I have to go and redo
any saved settings/preferences. All I wanted to do was to restore a missing/delete stock AI vehicle in P3D......

No, reinstalling content should not wipe out any of your settings.
