Real World Weather

Post by John York »

Can anyone please tell me if they have a real world weather program working with P3DV4 running alongside UT Live. If so, what it is please?

Many thanks.

Its a traffic program that reflects/depicts all the traffic flying at the same time and in the vicinity that you are. It also has the aircraft that are also standing/parked or taxiing in the airport that you're in.

Very good it is too. Much better (in my opinion) than My Traffic and much easier to install.

Has it been released (not beta/testing) for P3D?

Vaughan. You've hi-jacked my thread!

Yes, it has been released for P3DV4.

Now can someone please help me with my original question?

Thanks.

Hi Neal

Unfortunately, HiFi Active Sky for P3DV4 has turned out to be a complete disaster on my Flight sim. Even their 'Help' and 'Technical Departments' couldn't solve it for me. Problem was each of the four times time it crashed the Sim' it also took all my addons with it resulting in four full days work to get it all back together again.

That's why I'm looking for an alternative.

My intent was to get enough background information from you on your payware product and question to search for an answer / additional feedback information for you.

If however I found out that UT Live was not yet released and fully approved for P3Dv4 (still a beta product) it would be a mute issue for me.

Currently, I have not found a Flight1 Sales/Purchase page for UT Live for P3Dv4 but I did find these posts on the Flight1 forum:

Hi!
Is UT compatible with P3Dv4 yet? I don't see anything specific about it.
Tkx!

UTLive is fully compatible with P3Dv4, but consider it a "beta-release" at this moment (its not a "finished product"). Personally I don't have any major problems with it, so I am happy running it, but some users expect it to be a finished product, and end up being disappointed !?

EDIT: Noted you were from Memphis. Sadly it lacks traffic at KMEM. The schdules that comes with UTLive at this point are lacking in the transport department, so I only see about 6-8 planes on the ground a KMEM, but at other airports you will see more traffic, especially if you add additional repaints yourself.

BTW, have you asked on the Flight1 forum?

IMO, your setup / addons are causing problems.

Maybe time to do the debugging steps:

I'm inclined to agree with Vaughan. There's just no way AS on it's own could cause you such problems. There definitely has to something else interfering. There was a similar thread about this about a month ago (I can't find it for some reason). I'm not sure if the OP got sorted out or not.

Come to think of it, that thread could have been YOU, John, lol.

Yes Neal. That wasn't much help either.

I realise there must be something else wrong but if the experts at Hi-Fi couldn't resolve it, I've got no chance have I?!

Hence my desire to find another Real World Weather.

To be fair to HiFi, their support is generally pretty good. However the fact that it looks like something else is causing your problem it's not going to be easy for them to pinpoint it.
