Different types of licenses??

Postby Martinh96 » Sun Oct 15, 2017 10:30 am

I couldn’t find any exact answers to this, so i’ll try my luck here!

I’m an ATPL pilot student at a flight school in Norway, and i often play FSX and have been doing this for many years. Flying with PMDG 737 on commercial flights and such. But there are too many memory problems and too much lagging on fsx, so i would like to try out prepar3d v4.

But should i purchase the academic version or the professional version? I’m going to be free roaming and doing commercial flights all over the world.
And i see the academic version is significantly cheaper than the professional version. What is the main difference? Are there any huge limitstions with the academic version?

And of course i want to play for fun on my own, but it also says on the website that «prepar3d is not for entertainment use». What does this mean?
