P3d v 4.5 HF3 Sound Issue

Hi, I am having an issue when ATC cuts in my sound dampens then a little while after ATC is done the sound pops back to full volume, what would cause that? I have a Logitech PRO X wired headset and using the usb connection, I have also plugged the headset into the sound card and it does the same thing. Also it doesn't matter whether surround sound is enabled or not thanks for any response.

Double click the Prepar3D.cfg file to open, Scroll down to the [SOUND] section, Copy the text below and Paste it just under [SOUND]

Ensure you Save, Click File and Save (Top left)

When you are finished the sound section will look like this...

Sorry not getting back sooner, I tried that and also the other tip that you provided but it doesn't work. I fly the VRS Superbug F-18E and never had a problem until these recent Window updates it's very annoying. Thank you for your input.

Ok, try this.
If you have in Sound tab marked : "Default...." change to the precise name of your source (so "speakers..." or "headset..."), in this 2 windows.
