Fresh install now ready. First tests without any add-ons went smoothly. Now reinstalling the ORBX world and addon aircraft. For those who are without ASN weather for the moment both FSRealWX and FSXWX weather engines work with 2.4.

Indeed thanks to LM for their continued development. Hans

Did the update method 2 from Rob and all i can say is WOOOOW too :-) smooth like warm butter climbs my a319 out of egcc directon orbx eghi.

VAS seems greatly improoved in terms to 2.3.

Over orbx england, all uk2000 airports i have 1.3 gig left at cruiselevel.

We will see how it will be on approach to EGHI...

Thanks so much LM !

Glad it is working for you guys.... LM I applaud your efforts..... but the scenery still stutters and will do until a Full Screen is made available which is not going to happen for me personally this just ruins the experience ...I know others feel and see differently and I fully respect that...and yes I am in the minority...but it is important....

Sorry had enough....great sim but let down by the lack of NI control.....

Cheers

Another "great work to LM" from me too!

Looks nice in the Oculus Rift DK2 (thanks to DCOC), looking forward to even better improvements to the Rift via the SDK.

Cheers,

The clouds are absolutely great.

Can you describe what's changed w/ clouds in 2.4? I have been thoroughly disappointed w/ changes made to cloud lighting, and contrast in 2.3. I don't want to do a new clean install of 2.4 if the contrast & lighting are very similar to 2.3, and would rather wait until maybe they restore some of what they changed.

Thanks in advance

Now, that's what I call customer service. A shining example for add-on programmers.

Really looking forward to getting this loaded up in the next couple of days.

Has anyone had a look at their VAS usage so far? I know that one of the fixes was:

"Fixed an issue with BGL objects that were causing a memory leak and crash"

VAS issues were the only thing I struggled with in 2.3 so wonder if these have been fixed, particularly in known VAS heavy areas like CYVR with Orbx PNW. I'll be sure to report back my experiences once I have it sorted but it would be good to hear how others are getting on!

James

I am still getting OOMs with Fly Tampa's CYUL. I literally cannot fly to there anymore.

I'm impressed with full install. I haven't even had to go to nvidia inspector for extra settings. Only thing that gave me just a tad of stutter was trying ultra setting on water. Pleased as can be. Set fps at 30 and hold 29.9 to 30.1 Have not tried heavy weather yet, may have to drop down from very dense setting with all autogen.
