The default flight is the LM F35A at KVPS.
All initial testing should be done with the default flight.
I reboot the PC after each flight or test.
In your case it is a must IMO because you are reporting a problem.

Re: P3Dv5 turned off problem.
Bill,
Last time I heard of that PMDG 737, it was not compatible with v. 5... has there been any change to that?
Also, do you have other add-ons installed?
And, if you try the default flight, with the F-35A out of KRND, does kernelbase crash this also happen then?
Does this also happens with your settings turned down?
Jorgen

Re: P3Dv5 turned off problem.
Guys,
A member of our Flight Simulator group posted this out to us. He got it off a very helpful bloke on the internet.
It is cache clearing programme.
I was having "hang" freeze problems with V5 all the time....very frustrating
Installed this, and so far have been completing 2 to 3 hour flights with no probs, including JoinFS, Discord, Active Skies, Spad.next all running at the same time. Admittedly I was using the Carenado SR22...not a study level aircraft as the PMDG 737 or Majestic Dash 8.
I intend to test the Majestic today.
Recommend you watch the video first. No guarantees it will solve your problem but it maybe worth a try.

Re: P3Dv5 turned off problem.
Phil,
I reboot the PC after each flight or test.
That cleans the old lingering bad stuff out.
