P3D is working in the background

Postby Hossi » Sun Nov 03, 2019 7:53 am

Hi,
I hope someone can help me.
Here is the problem:
A few days ago I installed the tool ORBX Central 4.
Then a few days later I bought the AddOn Edinburgh from ORBX
This tool does not allow any installations, because allegedly the
flight simulator is already running.
The gag is, there is nothing to see in the task manager. Also under
Register Processe there is no application that allows you to conclude that
could another program uses a file from P3D.
Now to my question to the experts:
Is there a way to find out which file of P3D is active in the background
which blocks the ORBX Central tool?
My operating system is Windows 7 Pro 64.
The flight simulator is P3Dv4.5

Best regards from Kiel Northern Germany
ciao
Horst

Hi,

I presume you don't have FSX running in the background as your Orbx may report p3d is running even if it's only for P3D, likewise, any p3d running would say FSX is running.

Hi,
Task Manager schows no P3D and no FSX is running.
I have checked all partitions for remnants of FSX and deleted everything with the name FSX
I still have the Problem with ORBX Central

I suggest you post this problem on the ORBX Forums...there is usually very good response and help.
