Clouds stop being drawn somewhere around 150 miles from departure airport.

Pretty straight forward issue. It seams they are drawn upon initial startup and as the plane moves it's position isn't updated for the weather engine to draw new clouds. Have tuned into ATIS along the route and confirmed that the 3rd part weather is injecting properly eg reporting overcast at 900 ect. However no clouds are being depicted and the sky is clear only visibility is being rendered. 4.3.29.25520 and SimConnect 4.3.0.0

if you are using ActiveSky there is an issue if you set your max cloud draw too far this can happen
Go into options/cloud options on the activesky control panel and ensure the max draw distance is 150m or less
and that min draw distance is 80m
