Multi-window views

Postby vjeanmarc » Mon Jan 08, 2018 11:43 am

Hello,

I meet in version 4 a light problem between the three views of my screen that I did not have in version 3 especially in the clouds.
Is there a solution to this problem ?

Hi Jean-Marc,

Are you only seeing this issue with HDR on? If you turn off HDR, open and align all views, and then turn HDR on do you still see the issue?

Hello Rob,

I do not use HDR, but what do you mean by open and aligning the views?
Sorry, I do not speak English (Google translation)

This is due to angles of eyepoint and rendering of light. I have asked the same question under Misc-forum if there could be a post filtering option to fix this.
It has been a problem since FSX at least and is really bad on my 5 screen setup. From one screen to another, all colors change dramatically. It is least visible during daytime flying. Dusk/dawn and night is terrible.
It's 2018... it should be able to fix.

Here is a new pic from night time flying:

I wont leave this alone before we get answer from LM om the subject.
LM have the pro software in commercial simulators, and surely this can not be acceptable in those sims, so they must have a fix lying around for Pro and commers customers.
Flying with multiple screens is very normal, so the sim should also be able to comtroll light rendering over multiple screens.
Could the way to do it before LM deliver be to add a post render filter in custom camera?

Also it would be nice to hear from a fellow simmer using the pro version if the problem is there to.

Hello Norshuttle,
I did not have this problem in version 3 !!
The problem is within the engine and has been here since 2006... at least

I do not force you to believe me but I certify that I did not have this problem in V3, it is besides this detail that made me hesitate to move to V4!

I wonder what in your settings that made the error disappear. Would be golden info to know.
Could it be a set of shaders introduced by a addon?
I'm in a league of cockpit builders, and when you have spent 10th of thousands dollars for your setup, bugs like this break the immersion very effectively, and the issue have been discussed time and time again. Only cure is to fly during daytime, but P3D v.4.1 looks so damned good at night :D

If you unintentionally have experienced a sim without the issue, then surely it is possible to overcome. I wish someone release a fix intentionally, fixing this problem in particular, and it really should be LM that add a setting in their options like:

Adjust shaders for multimonitor setup - Yes/No

This is not LM but an issue on your site .
From Fs2000 up to P3Dv.1 I am flying with a triple view setup and have never experienced that...
