v3.4.18 SLI major issue

Nvidia driver 368.22 (i.e. pre effects flickering issue).
refresh 30hz
980Ti SLI/4790K@4.8

I've been using SLI trouble free since official support commenced but this latest update has major issues on my system. I don't mean the flickering smoke/contrails effects issue that has been already reported (I wasn't seeing this as I hadn't updated my drivers) - even the red info text in each corner is flickering along with the drop down menus and I appear to be getting 5-10fps whereas in the previous 3.4.14 client I held 30fps in most situations (large cities excepted). Once I turn off SLI (or reinstall 3.4.14) the issue goes away and I'm back to 30fps (reduced settings as no SLI of course!).

I installed the latest nvidia driver but same issue displayed so removed.

I've tied all the usually fixes, delete shaders, delete config, full re-install of client, content and scenery, etc. no change.

The issue is repeatable with SLI on/off.

Anyone else?

With nvidia inspector try to set "SLI compatibility bits (DX10+DX11)" to 0x000000 (If you are set any other value).

Sorry that is not the good solution. Set SLI compatibility bits to 0x000000 stop the SLI mode

Andy - I have the exact same issue. I was using 372.80 just fine in SLI and the update gave me the flickering menus, text and the choppy single digit FPS. So far haven't found a driver that works!

Nvidia is aware of the issues with the latest driver are looking into it. We added a new check each frame to query the GPU to see if there was a driver crash. We are not aware of any issues calling this each frame in SLI, but we did add a configuration option to disable the check in case there were any side effects on specific gpu/driver combinations.

To disable the GPU driver crash check:

Beau - it's not just the LATEST driver. My old 372.80 driver was working but none of the later drivers were. After the update, my 372.80 is now flashing along with all subsequent versions.

Yep agree with Vic previous version 3.4.14 no issue with older driver. New version 3.4.18 doesn't work with same driver. To me this is an LM issue in latest client and not a driver issue.

Also this is not the same effects issue that has been reported but this kills all functionality (flashing screen, text, menu, etc) and so is a no-no for SLI users.

Here's my problem..

Updated to V3,4 Hot Fix2 with major problems with SLI... I purchased a SLI computer 2 x 980ti 6700k specifically for P3D .. everything was working fine on V3.4 Hotfix 1 ... I cannot roll back to this version as the last full download I did was V3.3 and did not keep a copy of V3.4 Hotfix 1 client.

How can I download V3.4 Hotfix 1 ?
