More SDKs for P3D

SDK supports Prepar3D’s philosophy of an open development architecture and encourages third parties to bring new innovations with improved add-ons and training content.

What are the possibilities of Lockheed being able to issue some addition SDKs for developers. ?

In particular, I am thinking of Format SDKs, for things like .bgl formats, weather formats, the "NEW" Mutiplayer system etc etc.

Having acquired the IP for ESP from Microsoft, is Lockheed :-

(1) Legally allowed to release this sort of information to their P3D developer ?

(2) PREPARED to do so ? ( Could not resist that PUN ! )

The amount of time that developers spend, in struggling to reverse engineer tools to handle things like .bgl files is such a waste of time, where they could be spending this time, creating far better products, if this sort of "CORRECT" information was freely available.

Hi Geoff,

Noted and we can certainly look at it in the future and keep it in mind. The SDK documentation is something that we are continually updating.
