3ds Max 2020 compatibility time frame?

Post by jabloomf1230 »

Is there any chance that the SDK will be updated for the new version of 3ds Max in the near future or is that something that will wait until the next major version of P3d? 3ds Max 2019 was discontinued as of May, 2019 and since it's a subscription-based product, it can't be purchased anymore. I'm just trying to plan ahead.

Well, at least there's two of use that are interested in this. Maybe we'll just have to switch to MSFS 2020. ;-)

For anyone who still hasn't figured out a way around this, just open your .3ds file in Model Converter X, convert the textures to a power of 2 resolution and DDS (only if needed) and export to P3d4 MDL format. I haven't lost anything noticeable using this method, but YMMV.
