Conversion to mdl

For topics related to the creation of simulation objects (SimObjects). This includes development of aircraft, ground, and maritime vehicles.

Can somebody tell me how to take an aircraft .x file and a 3ds file and convert them to an .mdl format for Prepar3d? Thanks...

Have a look at the Prepar3D SDK. It is available as a free download from the Downloads page. There is a section on Modeling that should give you the answers you require. If you have any questions, I see that there are several old hands at modeling that are lurking in the forums that may give you some pointers and advice! The SDK documentation can also be seen here:

Within the SDK documentation go to the Environment Kit and check out the Modeling SDK.
