SimDirector v4.4 CTD

Postby Raynald1 » Mon Mar 11, 2019 12:49 am

I have been working with 4.3 for a while and SimDirector is working well with very few CTD.

I installed the 4.4 Client and I am lucky if I get 5 minutes before a CTD in SimDirector.

I went back to 4.3 and it works like a charm.

I am doing exactly the same scenarios in 4.3 and 4.4.

Thanks

Hi Ray,

Are you able to send me a download link to the scenario causing the issue? Are you able to narrow it down to specific objects/actions?

Regards,

Rob
I tried to find a common thread but cannot find a definite one.
It seems to happen at random times as I switch between SimDirector and Prepared to test my scenarios in VR.
I can usually get one cycle between SimDirector and Prepar3D and back to Sim Director but not always. Sometimes it will CTD when I switch back to Sim Director.
Sometimes I will be able to start the scenario in Prepar3D and it will CTD.
Here is the viewer for this CTD:

I reloaded SimDirector and it worked fine for this cycle: SimDirector > P3D > SimDirector and worked 90 minutes before it CTD while I opened a different scenario.

CTD also happens when I am in SimDirector and make a change in the .fxml and open the same scenario again.

Hi Ray,

Are you still seeing this in v4.5?

Rob

Yes, it still happens in 4.5 but not as frequently.
I wish I could have an easy fix for the KERNEL.dll problem.

Thanks
