Hello,

first i want to say "Hello" to all users here.

Second is that i want to ask how to create Scenery (*.bgl) files for Germany?

I tried the USGS Site, but this site seams not to work, it hängs when i try to start the Map Creator.

Meight be it can not be called from germany.

Thats also the reason for my Question, as is think the USGS Site has only Data for US??

Hope anyone can help here?

Thanks

Matthias

Hi Matthias, yes the same here with the Map Creator, also I think the USGS is only US map data. I have done Scenery for FSX using Google Earth but to do it for P3D I am not sure , I think it could be done firdt for FSX and then add the files toP3D.

Hello,

thanks for the answer.

Has Goole Geodata like the USGS? I am not sure, but i am sure we need this geo data.

You have it done for FSX?

Have you uploaded the file to any reachable location where i can download it?

I think we can try to copy the file to the AddOn Scenry folder and see what happens.

Google does not have Geodata , any scenery file tha works in FSX will work in P3D when placed and activated.

Just let me add that the scenery (mesh) for FS2002 was using USGS data, the stock scenery of FSX and P3D are many times more detailled (SRTM based) than the Topo 30 grid you can get from them. There are quite some addon sceneries that improve again against these, but in this case you need to invest a lot into the data which are not available for free.
