Thanks for that!agfreeman wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2023 7:06 pm I've let it run with no-internet. A message pops up on screen saying, to the effect, it can't access the internet and will keep trying. It doesn't stop the sim straight away. I've not established what happens if you don't let it access the internet for a long time.

Re: P3D v6 Questions, Requests, Features
I'd like to add to this, Since "the oxygen has been sucked out of the room wrt to developers for P3D", Will there ever be an entry level way in to P3D development? I specifically ask that the SDK include a Blender exporter and information/tutorials to help with creating simobjects etc. Bl...

Remove the offending scenery and scenery modules. Deactivation is insufficient.

Re: 5.4 update is spectacular
If there was an easy way to build orthographic scenery for P3D as it is for X-Plane, P3D would be a very nice sim indeed. I'm rather disappointed V6 will require permanent internet connection while using P3D as I (and in fact, the UK) has unreliable internet. It frequently drops in the early hours U...

Re: V6?
It's pretty sad that people are still crying over the loss of ACES. FSX was junk, and still is junk. P3D is an attempt to fix what was broken, but it is still an old platform underneath (though LM are dragging it kicking and screaming into the 21st Century). Pretty graphics aren't everything. The fl...

V6 Requires Permanent Internet Connection
From this link: https://www.prepar3d.com/news/announcements/2023/06/121250/ [*]The Personal license will require users to maintain internet connectivity during use. This is unacceptable. If the internet connection dies for any reason, this presumably means the sim dies with it. It also means it can'...

Re: P3D v6 Questions, Requests, Features
I'm disturbed to read v6 will require "always on internet WHILE RUNNING P3D". Not all of us have reliable internet, and I'm one of them. A loss of internet will no doubt mean P3D will terminate, which makes it useless for me. The single biggest thing that will stop me using ANY product is ...

Re: Mouse Pointer Tanks Framerate
This is an old problem from the FSX days.
The 2D to 3D mapping of the mouse cursor hurts framerate. There is nothing you can do except move the mouse outside the 3D window, or wait for it to hide.

Bad software (e.g. null pointer in the user callback). Tell the dev to fix it.0xc000041d - An unhandled exception was encountered during a user callback.

Re: F-35 Poor Performance
I just have to believe if Lockheed is putting their name on this it would have some better performance. Hoping to maybe have a developer see this and want to talk. The Vermont Air National Guard has used the software and has the same issues. They just took delivery of 18 brand new F-35’s and I feel...

Re: True cause of DXDI Device hung?
DXDI_DEVICE_HUNG is sadly a symptom of a larger problem - timing issues in the system. Because of Microsoft's drive to unify the desktop and XBox in terms of DirectX, they have made some really stupid decisions that is meaning that (particularly DX12) software is having to do more hardware managemen...

Re: F-35 Poor Performance
F-35 A B and C all stall in full burner no flaps no gear and just doing a sharp turn. Bleeding speed the entire time. Full burner on and all gauges say 100% throttle and like 97% thrust. Plane just bleeds off speed. Still not believing this is the real performance of this plane IMHO I wouldn't trus...
