Yes they are. To my knowledge, we did not remove any settings from this config file, so you should be able to use it the same way you would have used ESP.cfg. I can't guarantee every FSX setting will work, but odds are if you follow config tweaking guides from FSX, you should have similar results wi...

Just to clarify, is the issue that the nav data doesn't match the visual data, or that they don't match the real world location?

The team is aware of the limitations of the legacy data set, and understands that certain training scenarios may require more accurate and up-to-date data. Moving forward, we will do our best to meet customer needs as they arise, but I can't comment on our plans for future features at this time.

SimConnect.lib was statically built in VS2010, so you probably can't link into it from VS2008. You can still link against previous versions of SimConnect since the new server is backwards compatible with older clients. That's probably your best bet for now.
