Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG

FSL Spotlights is a third-party product - have you tried to contact the manufacturer?

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG

It has been my experience that in many cases, even though I have uninstalled a product, some files etc. have been left over on my system. I could assume by the letters FSL that this is a product from FS Labs - if it is, have you tried to contact them? Others have solved this issue, which seems relat...

Re: Out of Memory on startup Error

Which version of P3D is this?

I run v. 4.5, have virtual memory turned off with 16 GB of RAM and have never had an OOM error in P3D.

Re: Helicopter loss of control

I don't fly the helicopters myself, but I do recall a very recent thread about a similar topic, loss of control in helicopters. And, if my ailing memory is correct, there was a solution in that thread.

You might want to use the search box "Search this forum" to search for helicopters.

This will not effect your add-ons in any way, it certainly did not affect mine. Just do it according to the instructions.

Re: Controlling AI planes

"AI airplanes" is supposed to mean that the aircraft in question is controlled by artificial intelligence - which they are not. Instead, they are meant to be controlled by a preset flight plan, from which they do not - cannot - deviate. Such airplanes are not meant to be user-controlled, although it...

Re: UPDATES

This only involves an uninstall of your current client, and then an install of the new one.

Re: Same as the text.

Do things in this sequence: 1. De-activate P3D on the "old" computer. You can now uninstall it whenever you want. 2. Download and install a fresh copy of P3D on the "new" computer, then activate it using your present license information. 3. Install whatever add-ons you have on the "new" computer. So...

Re: HELP

Why are you worried about your frame rates? Is the simulation running smoothly, without stutters?

P3D is not a first-person shooter game, it is a simulation of the real world, and what matters is that it looks real, no matter what frame rate you get.

Re: Thanks anyway

I don't know if this is going to make any difference for you, or you really have quit P3D. But here goes: The symptoms you describe could be caused by your system not being up to the minimum requirements for P3D, which you will find here: https://www.prepar3d.com/system-requirements/ If your system ...

Re: 2080ti SLI Stutters with Shadows

The way I understand it, and this is only how I personally view the various explanations I have seen, is that by limiting the frame rate like this, you give the processor more time to "build the whole frame" and then present it, instead of the processor striving to build as many frames as possible w...

Re: 2080ti SLI Stutters with Shadows

Tony, just as an experiment - what happens to the stutters if you limit the frame rate to 25 or 30, for instance?
