Re: When will Floating Houses Ever be Fixed ?

How I create a "virgin" installation for testing: I have my P3D v. 5 on my G: drive, a HDD that I use otherwise for downloading to. It is in a folder called P3D v5. The creation process begins with the uninstallation of the old version: first uninstall SDK, then Scenery, Content, Client and Professi...

Re: When will Floating Houses Ever be Fixed ?

Took off from EGHH Bournemouth, flew east to Isle of Wight, around the island and back to Bournemouth. Houses seen at Bournemouth, but all firmly attached to Terra Firma, nothing floating around in mid-air.

Re: When will Floating Houses Ever be Fixed ?

I do not have to accept anything that I haven't seen myself.

In this case, I have not seen the issues you report on my system. Note please that I do not doubt for one second that you do have the issue.

Which only means and proves one thing - you have the issue, and I do not.

Re: year 2013 and FPS ...

System specs?

And I do assume that you did not just load your old ORBX and PMDG stuff into v. 5?

Re: 13-inch MacBook Pro 2020 Compatibility

A personal opinion: if you want to run a flight simulator on this MacBook, then get Falcon 4 or FSX:SE.

Re: Unusual location of third-party scenery ?

For v. 4.5 I am using a freeware utility called Scenery Configuration Manager, but that is not available for v. 5 yet.... I have seen that some people use a similar utility from Lorby, and they are happy with it.

Re: When will Floating Houses Ever be Fixed ?

George, In order to establish this as being a P3D v. 5 issue, you'll need to reproduce it with a completely clean, virgin installation of P3D v. 5, that has never had any add-on at all installed to it. It is not enough to disable your add-ons, because for instance the objects from the add-ons that h...

Re: Question regarding P3d v4

It says "strongly recommended" because you'll get reduced loading times, and you don't have to constantly defrag a SSD.

Re: P3D V5 default scenery overlapping payware scenery

It is up to the add-on developer, be it freeware or payware, to ensure his product works properly with P3D.

If you have any questions about the add-on and how it works or interacts with P3D, that question needs to be directed to the add-on developer/manufacturer.

Re: 13-inch MacBook Pro 2020 Compatibility

You'll find the minimum system requirements here: https://www.prepar3d.com/system-requirements/ Your MacBook falls short on 2 counts: the minimum processor speed is 3 GHz sustained clock rate, and the graphics card VRAM requirement is 4 GB dedicated VRAM. You can of course try to run v. 5, there is ...

Re: When will Floating Houses Ever be Fixed ?

I am about to do the southbound flight from KSEA.

I could fly out to the coast and approach Bowerman (I assume that is the airport you mean), and approach from the south, then after passing Bowerman turn around and go south.

Does that sound like a plan?

Re: When will Floating Houses Ever be Fixed ?

I did the flight KSEA to CYVR in the default F-35A, no signs of any floating houses or other abnormalities, even at very low level.

I will try the flight south in a few.
