Re: Questions about View Groups

Currently, we only default to a view group when you load up using multichannel. Another user has also mentioned that they would like what you're talking about in our feature requests.

Re: How to add an Object to the Catalog?

Tregarth - I'm assuming that it was confusing to find the waypoints window. There should be a tab in the bottom left labeled "Waypoints". If it's not there, go to the Windows tab in the top ribbon and enable it. The other AI types won't work correctly. The GroundVehicle AI is also used for...

Re: How to add an Object to the Catalog?

Tregarth - ⋅  Drag the carrier out to somewhere on the water. ⋅  In the Object Properties, set the AIType to "GroundVehicle". ⋅  You can click the "Edit" button underneath to change the speeds. ⋅  Using the Waypoints window, click "Add...

The first message is normal if you are not using a language that supports the Windows-1252 character set. Did you change your computer profile name to one with a no special characters? Does any folder in the installation path have a special character in it?

bomber -

The files you mentioned (scenery.cfg, simobjects.cfg, and dll.xml) are all in %programdata%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\, not %appdata%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\.

Re: Sound device back on default?

CaseyRyback53 -

Is it the same number of restarts, or a random amount? Are you doing something every time before it resets to defaults, like using a certain add-on or pressing certain buttons? Are you unplugging your audio devices and then seeing the reset?

Make sure that you are adding them to the simobject.cfg, located in %programdata%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\.

Try right clicking Prepar3D and selecting "Run as administrator". That's the most common solution for your issue.

Re: Add-ons and autogen

kevinfirth - Essentially, add-ons can make alterations to autogen, and for some that's the whole functionality of the add-on. Here's an excerpt from the Add-on Overview page in the SDK: [You can] create and integrate descriptions of which scenery objects should be automatically generated based on an...

Re: Looking for IRIS T-6 support

nigelallenby - The best way to reduce OOM issues is to lower your settings or reduce the add-ons that you have installed. Try testing using a default aircraft. If you're still OOMing relatively quickly, it's probably not the T-6. If everything works fine in a default aircraft, then something is more...

aronpasaoa_lee -

Try uninstalling/disabling all of your add-ons except the PMDG. Do you still see the issue?

Please try flying a default aircraft, or at lease performing the same steps that you can do on your installation of the PMDG to get the crash.

Re: Update to 3.3.5 failed

gvidic81 - First, the folder location is actually %appdata%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\. You'll need to go down one level. If that folder isn't there, then something most likely got messed up during the installation. Uninstall Prepar3D and then delete these files: Make sure the checksums of your in...

Re: Constant crashes with v3.3.5

hamoody -

Are you using any add-ons? If so, try uninstalling them first and see if the issue is still there. If that doesn't work, try reinstalling your .NET.
