Re: Assign time to a hatch switch

Unless assigning in FSUIPC of course. Then it is possible, as well as using the other hat movements for other things. Pete Thanks for the info. I'll investigate FSUIPC. Hardware wise I know it can be done because that's how I have it set up in Xplane 11, which I've been trying. Generally I prefer P...

Re: Assign time to a hatch switch

Haha I had to open and read this thread simply because I was curious as to what time had to do with hatches. My apologies for the bad subject line. It seems my increasing age/dementia is increasing the number of stupid things I do. I realized what I had done immediately after posting the question. ...

how to edit a post or delete it and then resubmit

I posted a question, but screwed up the subject with a bad typo. I can't figure out how to edit the question to fix the title.

I'd be happy just to delete the post and then resubmit, but I can't see where I can delete it.

Suggestions?

Damn, I feel stupid!

Assign time to a hatch switch

I'm using a VKBsim Gladiator control stick. It has a hat switch that I would like to use for the trim: switch up for trimming the nose down, switch down for trimming the nose up. This will match the movement of the trim switch on the aircraft I flew before retiring. However, as best I can tell from ...

Unfortunately I can't answer your question because I haven't been able to get the engine started yet. Wanting to get the A2A 172 to default to the engine running was not only for convenience but for a work around to not being able to get it started. I'm new to PC flight simulation in general and P3D...

On my Windows 7 machine I'm seeing my Frames/Sec staying around 8. The target says 20. I'm guessing this means my computer isn't fast enough to run P3D. Is that correct? If not, what is it really telling me?

The P3D default F-22 comes up with the engine running, and the Carenado A36 that comes with P3D also comes up with the engine running. However, the A2A Cessna 172 that I added, comes up with the engine off. How do I get the 172 to come up with the engine running? I've found the aircraft.cfg file for...

In trying to get P3D working on my Windows 7 machine, I see that in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\ there are apparently two configuration file: Prepar3D.cfg and Prepar3D.cfg.txt. Which is controlling? Or is it necessary to edit both when making a change?

How does one go about updating airport data. Specifically, for KEUG Prepar3D shows two runways, 16-34 and 03-21. However, 03-21 was closed several years ago and a new, parallel runway was built. So the actual runways now are 16L-34R and 16R-34L.
