RTX 2080 ti SLI

I am building a new system and while I'm spending mad money, I'm wondering if there is any point to getting dual RTX 2080 ti cards and running them in SLI, or is one more than I'll ever need. Upfront I'm running a 65 inch curved Samsung 4k tv. I'd like to run some 27 or 32 inch monitors on the sides...

Re: Running P3D on multiple computers

If I read the developer license correctly, you may be able to be developer for $20/month and you get two professional licenses. Did I read that correctly?

Re: new user

1. Processor: i7 8700K or 8086K. Both can overclock. 8086K is an 8700K that has been tested and will overclock to 5.0Ghz you may want to check out Silicone Lottery for more info on the 8086K and delidding service. Delidding means removing the CPU cover, replacing the factory inefficent thermal paste...

Re: New Build

Thanks NBWorld,
Does P3d need to be on the same drive with the OS?
If I install all the scenery files to larger less expensive drive like a 2TB Crucial 500MX, will I have lag issues?

Thanks again for all the great responses.

Re: New Build

Thank you Dan, Yes, you are correct about the M2 and SATA ports, each M2 slot used will deactivate a SATA port. The reason for 2 OS is the 737 and Sim Avionics are very sensitive to settings and if I run another aircraft I've been warned that it will likely interfere with the 737. The simplest optio...

New Build

I will be grateful for some input/feedback on a build I am putting together. This will be part of a JetMax 737 single seat sim. It will also be dual boot so my Son can fly his A2A Cessna 172 and practice instruments or fly an F-18 and shoot missiles or drop bombs without messing up my Drive #0 737 s...

Re: Scenery on NAS with 10 GbE?

If I wanted to go all the way and have all the Orbx scenery on a hard drive, how big of a drive would I need?

Re: Processor/RAM/Drive for P3D Custom Build

Is there any benefit to ram faster than 3200 MHz or more than 32GB of ram? I’m in the same position, planning a solid build that can handle everything P3d v4 provides while maintaining a good frame rate. I’ve been reading, planning and going over the various parts. Here’s what I’ve come up with (fee...

Networked Computers 10Gb port

Doing a new PC build, ultimately this will be a networked JetMax sim. I’m debating between the ASRock Z370 Fatal1ty i7 and the k6. As far as I can tell the i7 board has a 10 gigabit Ethernet port, which is about 10x faster than most switches and lan ports. Is there any need for this or save the hund...

Amount of RAM new system build

Is there any benefit whatsoever to going with 64MB 3200mhz DDR4 vs 32MB or even 16MB? I understand it is best to populate all 4 ram slots; I am considering G.Skill - Trident Z RGB 64GB (4 x 16GB) DDR4-3200 Memory or if there is no benefit from 64MB, then save the money and go with 4 x 8GB (I’m looki...

Re: PC Build

I had the team at http://jetlinesystems.com/ build mine. They are in the business and know what works. If I have a question about what software addons work or how to get something sorted out, they can log in remotely and have a look for no charge. Well worth it to me. Operating System: Windows 10 Ho...

Different size monitors

Can I zoom or scale the views on different size and type monitors to get a reasonable result? I'm building JetMAx 737 and I am planning to to be running 3 sets of visuals on 3 PCs. The forward view will be on a 65inch TV Samsung JU7500 (it has good reviews for a gaming TV) running on a Z170 board wi...

Does size matter Samsung JU7500

originally I wanted to build a JetMax with 5 34 inch curved computer gaming monitors. After doing more research I concluded that for the price of the 34 inch computer monitors I could get a much larger curved TV monitor with good gaming performance (not as good as a hard core computer gaming monitor...

Re: 220 degree screen help please?

The experts at jetline systems http://jetlinesystems.com/ explained this to me. Simply stated, the P3D is designed to render one perspective view on a flat monitor and there is some stretching as objects move past the perspective view. The fix is to have multiple machines running P3D in a network. S...
