[RESOLVED] Question about Uninstalling Prepar3D v4
I had reason to uninstall v4. a few days ago, in order to reinstall. I used the Programs & Features uninstall process and chose uninstall P3D Academic. The uninstall took some time and I looked in Programs & Features and there was no trace of P3D files. All good. I then went in to the drive ...

Re: Best practice for P3D and Add ons drive installs
Yes that is correct regarding your "strategy" summary. A v4 update will normally require only an uninstall of the Client section and an install of the new update of Client. If you don't have knowledge of P3D then it initially comes as 4 parts: Academic, Academic Client, Content & Scene...

Re: Best practice for P3D and Add ons drive installs
From many users experience it is strongly recommended to have your sim on another drive other than C drive. Keep your OS away from v4. Others will say they have no problem with the OS and sim on the same drive, with partitions etc, but i have never put the 2 together. If i lose my OS for some reason...

P3Dv4 Options at Welcome Screen including Scenery Library
I would like to know if LM would consider enhancing the Options available at the startup welcome screen to allow access to the Scenery Library as was the case with FSX. There are many situations where users may wish to enable or Disable certain addons and at present the only opportunity to do this i...

Re: Prepar3d V4 blurry terrain
I strongly suggest that you remove your current P3D cfg to the desktop and allow the sim to build a new one. It will be without the additional "tweaks" you have added like the BufferPools. See if it then becomes OK visually. I use the default P3D cfg and then only change my options in the ...

Not getting the v4 hotfix download option
I own v4 but when I log into the Downloads it says I have access to v3.4.

Re: A couple of observations in v4
I need to manually control the aircraft otherwise i will be off the runway. Once in flight I don't notice anything odd, and at landing the autorudder is as normal. Any ideas on the disappearing planes i mentioned on the set up menu page ( the opening page where you choose airport, weather and vehicl...

A couple of observations in v4
I have 2 things to report. 1st: I have autorudder set to enabled, however if i pause the flight and change the weather, the autorudder ceases to work properly and the plane veers left or right. I believe it then subsequently rectifies itself. 2nd: I notice that if I end a scenario and want to start ...

Nvidia DSR and v4
I am experiencing an annoying problem in v4 that was not present in v3++ It concerns the use of Nvidia's DSR option. I have always used DSR x3 and although my normal and native Resolution is 1920x1080, whenever I started a loading screen in v3.4 it would be in full screen at the DSR x3 resolution of...

Re: Comprehensive info on Scenery addons in Documets requested
Thanks for the reply. I understand what you are saying but I personally would be apprehensive about writing a XML document, mainly because I have never done so, and don't particularly want to learn how. That's just me. I am sure that many others would not have any problem doing so. My only experienc...

Comprehensive info on Scenery addons in Documets requested
I would like some detailed explanation on the subject of the new format of Scenery Addons going into Documents. I don't think many of us users of v4 understand what it is all about. Many assume that our C drives are now going to be the holders for all our addons and will therefore require much bigge...

C drive lost 15GB of space
I successfully installed v4 onto my sim drive which is H drive. Obviously my download went to the C drive and I installed it from that drive. I deleted the original zip drive after extraction, leaving me with only the extracted folder contents. I then moved the extracted v4 zip contents folder to a ...
