OpenPanelAction w/ external panels

Re: this topic - http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=101611 I don't think this is possible currently because script actions basically rely on a true/false kind of result to fire. You could check for certain altitude ranges, and create text for each, but that is not likely what you want. Yo...

Droppable Object follow camera

In FSX, there was a camera object that could be used (PictureInPictureViewController) to a) follow an entity in the world and b) turn on and off when objects of that type did/did not exist It was primarily used to follow simpleobjects deployed as droppables for a bomb-cam-type feature. Prepar3D does...

Directory differences between Pro Plus and Academic

Hi, I develop mostly in Pro Plus for a group of users who use either Academic or Pro Plus. Recently (although I don't know when this split happened), I've noticed that the Academic version (2.5) uses a different directory structure for its missions (a "Scenarios" folder) while the Pro Plus...

<t>King Charles,<br/> <br/> I'm using the relative resource path (.\) in my mission's configuration; I assumed the mission was looking elsewhere for the location of .fsr files since the only selectable options that showed up in SimDirector were .fsr files recorded in P3D and stored in the default us...

As a followup, it looks like P3D 2.5 won't read any of my old .fsr files at all. SimDirector's validation output says "Failed to read recording. Could be missing or corrupted FSR file." These files work without any issues in FSX.

<t>I'm converting a batch of FSX missions to P3D, and makes it clear that the path of .fsr files is slightly different in P3D compared to FSX. I'd like to point the mission(s) to .fsr files in the same folder as the mission files, but I don't have any options for selecting a directory in SimDirector...

<t>I'm not sure if there's a secret handshake I'm missing, but in multiplayer missions, AI don't seem to attack non-host players. These are AI set up with the SearchTrack and Attacker behaviors, and these work fine when the mission isn't flagged to be multiplayer. I'm not sure if this is because the...

Does AssociationID have any associated SimVar? Force Classification is the only other measure of team affiliation, and it doesn't appear to remain consistent (aside from 0 as neutral).

<t>A quick bug - in SimDirector, the "home" ribbon, immediately after SimDirector is opened, will take priority over every other screen element, both in and out of the P3D window(s). See below:<br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> Minimizing the "home" tab will alleviate the issue, and re-...

<t>I was recently testing out the "professional plus" version of P3D 2.2 in multiplayer, examining how the weapons work. It would seem that they do not? I haven't tested every possible realism configuration, and so it's certainly possible that I've simply missed something.<br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> My ...

<t>I didn't do a full test of 2.2 - it was for an off-site client, and it was only a pilot test (for which I had limited time). I probably ran four or five at a time. That said, I'd used earlier versions of P3D in setups much larger than this one (~30 sims) without major issue, and I only tested eno...

<t>I've recently spent a little time porting some FSX missions over to P3D, and there are a couple undocumented (as far as I've seen) changes. Many are minor and not unmanageable, but I'll note them nonetheless. I've noticed that P3D is a lot less "flexible" in terms of what it allows and disallows,...
