Re: Viewtracker?

Thanks Daniel, think I'll stick with TrackIR. It's not done me any harm, even though I don't like wearing hats indoors on warm days! Regards, Mark

Viewtracker?

Hi, has anyone managed to get Viewtracker working with P3D? I have used TrackIR for a few years but would like to find an alternative as I'd rather not have to wear hat or headphones. I have a trial version of this and although it works well enough with some things I just can't get it going properly...

RAM query

Hi. Made the switch to P3D V4 and find it way better than V3 and everything before. Interestingly however, despite having just 8GB RAM I'm doing ok, the only noticeable 'fault' is that some objects remain black for a short period before loading up textures. My motherboard is an Asus Z87-A and I'm re...

vehicle selection window viewpoint

Hi all. I've upgraded to v3 and it's terrific, just what I'd hoped it would be. One little bugbear though has been brought over from v2 and that is the random viewpoint I get in the vehicle selection window. All default aircraft sit comfortably in this window but 3rd party add-ons are a mixed bag. S...

old installer files on C drive

Hi, I'm trimming back files from my 'C' drive and came across a bunch of stuff in: ProgramData\Package Cache, a Pepar3D.msi file plus 6 cab files totalling 10Gb. Can I delete these safely? Regards, Mark

<t>If you have Drzwecki's New York airport package, for example, then you'll run out of memory pretty quickly with the number of airports and airfields there. The company suggests manually deselecting airports that are not being used to avoid the problem, my post was based on that idea. It seems to ...

<t>Hi. As most OOMs seem to be a result of memory grabbing scenery not being cleared, would it be possible to work in to the flight planner the option to load only the departure and arrival point airport scenery, plus an alternate or two? Default scenery and photogen etc should be left alone, althou...

<t>Thanks, don't think for one minute that I hijacked your post, my 'reply' was actually a stand alone post elsewhere! Can anyone say if 2.5 has the final, definitive file structure and that future updates will not mean full uninstall/reinstalls? I'd like some clarity before I start all over again. ...

<t>Hi all. It took me quite a long time, at least a couple of months (in between work and other commitments) to install all of my add-ons following the move from 2.3 to 2.4. Fortunately I had only just purchased P3D 2.3 a week or so before 2.4 came out so it wasn't such a trial. But now that 2.5 is ...
